In recent years one dimensional nanomaterials (fibers, wires, rods) have gained momentum and interest across a range of industries and fields of research, not the least of which is the area of Ceramics. In particular ceramic nanofibers have demonstrated impressive properties leading many to begin developing applications in catalytic membranes, hot-gas filtration, coalescence filtration, scratch-resistant hard coatings, and others.
